HOW TO GET PREPARED FOR THE INTERVIEW?
It is a question frequently asked by people who actively enter the labour market. Here are some tips by LOBO HR for Our Candidates.
ARRIVING AT THE COMPANY
A candidate is evaluated from the very moment of arriving at the company. You should remember it when talking to people at the front desk or office managers. It is essential to arrive a few minutes earlier, dress smart and know who you are going to meet. You will not make a good first impression if you do not remember the name of the interviewer, what position you are applying for or even if you got to the right company.
WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO DRINK?
When the recruiter invites us to the room and asks a question “What would you like to drink?, ask for a glass of water, even if you do not feel like drinking at the moment. Some questions in the interview are nice, some may be more challenging. When asked more difficult questions candidates very often consciously or not relieve tension by having a drink. It allows a few seconds more to find the right answer and the silence is not so embarrassing.
GEARING UP FOR THE INTERVIEW
It is impossible to predict the contents of the whole interview because the choice of questions depends on the competences that need to be tested, the role designed for the Candidate and on the business culture of the company, however there are many standard questions which you can get prepared to. For sure there will be questions concerning past experience, scope of duties and reasons for quitting previous jobs.
REFERENCES
A good idea before the interview is to think who can give you references and how to contact such people. The interviewer may ask about the past of the candidate with a view of expanding the scope of their duties. There might be questions about the situation of the candidate’s position in the company structure, the scope of cooperation with other departments and relationships with direct superiors. It is the right time to present your successes at a given position.
SALARY EXPECTATIONS
The subject feared by many candidates is the question of salary expectations. The best way is to treat it in a fairly natural way. If we fear to answer because we are not sure whether the figure we propose will not remove us from the running for the position you may always add that the figure is subject to negotiations. This is a door-opening statement. Each employer has their own compensation system. The basic salary is very often supplemented by bonuses, commissions, social benefits, perks or company devices which may also be allowed for private use.
HAVE YOU GOT ANY QUESTIONS?
At the end of the interview the interviewer will definitely ask if we have any questions. It is the moment when roles changes and the candidate gets a chance to get some important information. If you have doubts about the future employer here is when you can discuss them. If we have not been told what will happen next, how many stages there are in the recruitment process, when we can get some feedback – we have the right to ask about it. It is also important to know the reason why the company is looking for a new employee, what our duties will be and who we will be cooperating with. Don’t be afraid to ask, it will help you make the right choice of an employer.

We wish all Candidates many interesting and successful interviews! Good luck from Lobo HR!
